Feet are one of the most frequently used parts of the body, and the most common problem is ingrown toenails. If not treated promptly, our feet will become painful. In this article, the nail supplies expert Maryton will tell you how to relieve the pain of ingrown toenails. Read on!

A few simple actions can help your toe heal.

First, to reduce the pressure and therefore the pain, stay barefoot as much as possible and limit walking.

If you must wear shoes, choose open ones to limit friction. And if this is not possible, opt for comfortable models (no more stiletto heels in which the toes will not be compressed), and cotton socks that limit perspiration.

You can also use a professional foot spa kit to bathe your feet, two to three times a day. Soak your foot in a basin of hot water, with an antiseptic added for 10 to 20 minutes. These baths will soften the tissues and reduce the tension between the nail and the surrounding flesh.

To have less pain, a good tip is to insert a small piece of cotton between the corner of the ingrown nail and the flesh: it will thus prevent the nail from penetrating the epidermis.
